The Michis is a collection of 500 unique, fun and diverse limited edition NFT cat avatars living in the Ethereum Blockchain waiting for you to adopt them.
This collection is created by me, with no AI assistance or procedural generation, drawing all tokens one by one paying attention to detail to make them unique. As a proud LGBTQ+ Artist, I have selected each colour to create a rainbow of diversity and some fantastic attributes and accessories so you can choose The Michis that represent you the most!
You’ll have the opportunity to be an astronaut, warrior, queen, punk and many other combinations!
Each Michi has been drawn carefully by hand, and I have tried to make them as CUTE AS POSSIBLE! You’ll notice they all have a very very intense gaze, they are all waiting for you to be adopted!
We have a total of 500 Michis but some of them are special…
As Illustrator having the chance to work on a project totally focus on my art was a dream! So I took my fav animal and worked to create a concept and a few characters inspired on my cats.
I did a research to understand the traits trends and using my iPad and procreate started with all the ideas exploration. As you can see on the images the idea was to create fun characters and really unique accessories so anyone will have the chance to find their right Michi!
An essential part of the project was to create a website to explain every detail about the project and the roadmap. I also have a great opportunity to work with a few partners and give to all the Michi owners the chance to buy exclusive merch.
My NFT project, #TheMichis was one of the exhibited project this week at the #NFTNY21! I decided to do this as a token of appreciation for all my collectors and the people that is supporting me in anyway.
I thought about this as a clear way to demonstrate that everything is possible, even if you just have 172 collectors as me and not thousands as other projects… This also was part of The Michis rebranding plan, the Michis was just another NFT project and now, at least for me, is a Brand. A brand that is gonna move in different ways to accomplish the goals of the project and all the plans that I have in my head.
I asked to all my community to share their Michis with me and I took the time to create a design to be used on this billboard, including Michis owners names as I’m nothing without all them. Community is one word you will hear and read often here…
As part of this amazing new NFT space, I had the chance to create a secondary collection working with 25 of the most amazing artists in the world. Friends from different countries and, as you can see, with completely different styles, decided to work next to me to create 25 new 1/1 Michis to show to the world that there are not limits that our creativity can not overcome.
