As the Lead Product Designer at Eterlast, I had the exciting challenge of designing and developing Pickem, the world’s first social gaming platform for sports predictions, where fans can make free-to-play predictions without real-dollar betting. With exclusive rights to micro-predictions for major leagues like the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, and European football, this was a project that fused my love for design with the thrilling world of sports.
From the ground up, I led the product and UX/UI design, ensuring that Pickem provided a seamless and engaging experience across mobile plaforms. I was tasked with creating a user-friendly platform that handled predictions and made them socially immersive and gamified. I worked hand-in-hand with developers, copywriters, and marketers to create an intuitive, visually appealing experience that could scale with the growing user base.
One of the main challenges was balancing the simplicity of use with the complexity of the game mechanics, ensuring that both Gen Z and Millennial sports fans felt at home. To tackle this, I focused on clear user flows, sleek design systems, and a set of 28 custom illustrations for the football and basketball Pickem apps, all to create an engaging, cohesive experience.
In addition, I built dashboards and internal tools for our team, helping them manage the game operations efficiently. Pickem’s success is a testament to the power of user-centered design and close collaboration, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created.
