Challenge.

When I joined WARC, they were amid a major rebranding and redesign. As the Lead Designer, my challenge was redesigning 100% of the website while adding new sections that would make the platform more user-friendly and visually engaging. The timeline was tight—two months—and I was also working on The Work project.

Key challenges included:

  • Conducting research to determine which pages to keep, update, or completely overhaul.

  • Collaborating with developers, content creators, and stakeholders to define the site’s new structure and ensure smooth implementation of new sections.

  • Defining a fresh style guide and design system aligned with the new branding.

  • Creating a more intuitive search experience that allowed users to navigate the extensive content easily.

  • Designing a new Feed section that would serve as a fresh content and updates hub.

Solution.

After aligning with stakeholders and understanding the full scope of the project, we implemented the following solutions:

  • Prioritised web sections to systematically address rebranding needs.

  • Created wireframes for new components and sections, including Awards, Search, and Campaign Data pages.

  • Developed a new navigation system to accommodate the growing site and ensure consistency across all WARC products.

  • Enhanced the search experience, introducing new filtering options and search results for all WARC content.

  • Designed a full-width grid layout and card system for the new Feed page to improve visual appeal and user engagement.

  • Worked closely with the development team to test, refine, and implement all changes within the 60-day deadline.
