HeyIsRay.

Ray Sanchez.

Founder, Product & Creative Director

For more than 25 years, I’ve worked across product, design and creative direction, helping shape ideas from the first sketch through to launch. Today my work brings those disciplines together with technology, AI and code, so I can stay closer to the decisions, the craft and the build.

I began with illustration, which taught me to look closely, simplify complex ideas and care about the details that give something its identity.

Digital products became the centre of my career. I’ve spent more than two decades working across product design, UX/UI, brand systems and creative direction, building experiences for startups and established companies across fintech, healthcare, media, gaming and other digital businesses.

Over time, my role moved beyond individual screens. I became more interested in the full system: what the product should be, how it behaves, how the brand supports it, how teams make decisions and what has to happen for the work to reach people in a coherent way.

Web3 brought illustration back into my professional work and opened a different kind of creative problem. With Sloooths, characters, brand, community, digital products and world-building became part of the same system. It also reinforced something I already believed: an idea becomes more valuable when it can live beyond the format where it started.

Today, I work as a founder, Product & Creative Director and hands-on builder. I move between strategy, product, design, creative direction and implementation, depending on what the work needs.

AI and code have changed how close I can stay to the build. They let me prototype faster, test ideas earlier and turn decisions into working products with fewer handovers. The tools are new, but the fundamentals are not: judgement, clarity, craft and understanding what is worth building still matter most.
